When baby Jamesley was born, his mother was unable to care for him and left him with his grandmother, who lives high in the mountains in a small tin home. His father works when he can, but steady jobs are rare, and most days there isn’t enough money for food.

When his grandmother brought him to CHM, he was just three weeks old and weighed barely three kilograms. She had tried everything to keep him alive — but without formula, he was losing weight quickly and growing weaker by the day.
